Sustainability is a continuous effort integrating environmental, social and economic goals through design, planning and operational organization to meet current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. SCF is committed to incorporating sustainability into its teaching, culture, outreach and supporting operations.

Yes, this means that at this point 9/19/2016 it is rather unclear what/if SCF uses a sustainability certifier for any of its operations.  I'm trying to sort it all out.  Please stay tuned......

I do know that sustainability is one of the institutions core values.  Maybe it's just a bit dusty and needs to be given a good green cleaning.

Frankly I'm getting a wee bit short on patience so I asked Rob Tecarr about the new library that was just in the press at the groundbreaking ceremony.  Will the library have green features?  Will it be 3rd party certified?  I have an email in to see.....Again, I'll keep you posted........

So happy to have some type of conversation about where the future reality of leadership is viewing capital intensive investments.......It's is our future.  Let's plan smart.  Let's activate that Pride in Excellence that we try to motivate folks to strive to be better than what was, really.  Actions speak louder than words.
